Community Driving School Owner Steve Rohman Interviewed by 9NEWS Denver
Buckle up – Colorado has significant changes in the pipeline for driver education starting April 2026.
Recently signed by the Governor, the new law requires all drivers under the age of 18 – not just individuals aged 16 and 17 – to complete 30 hours of classroom instruction before obtaining a learner’s permit. Once it goes into effect, teens who bypass classroom hours and the supervised behind-the-wheel training will no longer be able to acquire their permit and license on the same day.
Steve Rohman, owner of Community Driving School, was interviewed by 9NEWS Denver about the new regulation, stating that it’s a step in the right direction. With more teens behind the wheel than ever before, they must know how to stay safe on the road.
